Driving Magic, Inc. has launched “Sponsor a Horse” for donors who wish to contribute funds directly to expenses associated with our special equines. Typical annual expenses for DMI program horses (per horse) include:
- $1,680 — $5,500 board & feed
- $350 blanketing
- $360 — $1,800 for trimming / shoeing
- $500 — $800 for preventative vet care
- $500 — $3,625 for medicine
DMI has sponsorship levels starting at $300 annual donation (contributed once/year or over the course of the year). Each sponsor selects the horse(s) to receive their donation; sponsorships can be in your name or in the memory or honor of someone you designate. All sponsors receive the following:
Bronze Sponsor ($300+):
- Sponsorship letter
- Photograph of your horse
- Invitation for you and a guest to attend a Sponsor Appreciation event
- Periodic updates about your horse
Silver Sponsor ($1,000+), all of the above plus:
- Professional photo & CD of you with your sponsored horse(s)
Gold Sponsor ($1,500+), all of the above plus:
- A carriage ride or carriage driving lesson with your sponsored horse(s)
HOW DOES IT WORK?
To become a Horse Sponsor, go to HOW YOU CAN HELP / DONATE NOW and select the type of donation you would like to make (one-time or recurring). Complete the requested information and type “Horse Sponsor” and the name of the horse you would like to sponsor in the COMMENT field. If you would prefer, you can send a check to Driving Magic, Inc. at P.O. Box 279, Duluth, GA 30096 and include a note with the name of the horse you would like to sponsor.
